Resources

I receive a decent amount of emails asking for recommendations on massage related products and services. Quite often, I point the reader to a review or blog post I have written about that specific product, or the category of products.

I thought it would be helpful to gather up those posts and create a page for users to reference when looking for reviews or recommendations for certain products.

Disclosure: There is a mixture of free and paid resources listed below. Some of the links provided are affiliate links. Should you purchase a product or service through an affiliate link, I will receive a small commission at no additional cost to you. Please note that I only recommend products I have used and believe in. Thanks!

Massage Insurance

Massage Magazine Insurance Plus – Over the years I have had liability insurance from a few companies and associations. Massage Mag Insurance Plus has covered me while I have practiced a variety of modalities in multiple settings. They have been quick to answer my emails whenever I have a question or concern.

Massage Apps

Trail Guide to Body – Trail Guide to the Body is one of the resources used on the MBLEx. After you use it for studying, you can continue to use it for client education.

Massage Apps for iPhone/iPad – Here are some of my favorite apps for a massage business. There is a little bit of everything here – white noise, stunning anatomy apps, credit card processors and more.

Lotions, Creams, Oils

The Best Lotions, Oils, Creams, and Gels for Massage – I have used a lot of massage creams, oils, and lotions over the years. Here are my favorites and why I think Sacred Earth Botanicals is the best product available.

Sombra vs Biofreeze – Here is a comparison and review of the most popular analgesics used by massage therapists. Which do you prefer: Biofreeze or Sombra?

Best Essential Oils for Aromatherapy Massage – Unsure of where to begin with essential oils? Here are some of the most popular essentials you can incorporate into a massage session.

Massage Music

What is the best music for massage? – A list of my favorite albums from over the past decade, everything from classical to ocean noises. I guarantee there will be no surprise whale noises in the middle of the session.

Best Massage Music Ever? – These two albums by Michael Strening Jr. are excellent and the most requested in my office. Michael’s story about how “Massage therapy saved my music career” is one every massage therapist should read.

Massage Sheets

Massage Sheets 101 – The sheets on your table say a lot about your massage business. Here are some tips for choosing the best.
