Are Advanced Massage Techniques courses accepted for credit from NCBTMB and my state boards?
As of April 2018, I have discontinued my affiliation with the NCBTMB. As such, my courses are no longer approved for credit by the NCBTMB or state Boards that use the NCBTMB for CE approval.
Visit our approvals page for a complete list of state approvals.
Advanced Massage Techniques is a Florida Approved Provider, #50-16951.
My classes are accepted for continuing education credit for both ABMP and AMTA.
Do you submit my CE Hours to NCBTMB or my state boards?
No. You will receive a Certificate of Completion immediately upon successful completion of your exam, which you may print for your records. You are responsible to submit your CE Hours to the appropriate parties.
Florida Massage Therapists
In accordance with Florida Statute 456.025(7), Advanced Massage Techniques will submit CEU’s to the Florida Board of Massage Therapy via CEbroker.com as long as your license number is included on your exam.
How does the online process work?
- During the checkout process, you will create a user name and password. You may pay via Credit Card or PayPal.
- After successfully completing your purchase, you will be taken to a confirmation page. Instructions on accessing your course will be listed on this page. These instructions will also be emailed to you.
- You will then be able to download your course, which is in .pdf format.
- You will also see a link to take an online exam. Exams may be taken “open book” and you are allowed unlimited retakes.
- After successful completion of the exam, your Certificate will be available to print. A copy of your Certificate will also be emailed to you.
If you do not see a confirmation page, or receive a confirmation email within 30 minutes after your purchase, please contact me. It is likely your purchase didn’t go through.

How to Purchase a Course with PayPal
I am having trouble viewing my course.
The course is provided in .pdf format, so any .pdf reader should open the course.
You can download Adobe Reader for free. If you downloaded adobe reader and you still can’t open your course, please make sure that adobe reader is installed.
Is there a deadline for completing a course?
Although there is no deadline for course completion, a timeline is included with every course to guide your pace. I have a sincere interest in your education process, and regularly check in with students via email to answer questions and gauge progress.
I can’t complete my purchase because my email address is already registered.
This means that you have already created an account. Maybe you previously abandoned a purchase at the PayPal page, or you’ve previously purchased a different course.
What you need to do:
- Click the “student login” link on the top menu bar.
- Enter your username and password. If you do not remember your username or password, you can retrieve it here. You can enter either your username or email address.
- After successfully logging in, navigate back to the course you wish to purchase and proceed to checkout.
I’m getting a blank page after submitting an exam.
After you click “submit” when finishing an exam, a certificate and/or exam report should appear on your screen. A copy of the report for your exam and certificate is automatically sent to the email address you provided.
I also receive a copy, notifying me of a successful completion of a course or practice exam. I keep these reports for my records (in case you get audited in the future) and use the information I receive to enter completed course credits into CE Broker for Florida massage licensees.
Every once in a while I receive a report from an exam taker about a “blank page” appearing after submitting a test. This results in no certificate or email for the exam taker or me.
I have sent repair tickets into the exam service I use several times. From the tests they have done they have determined the problem is not with our server or our exam service; it is often a firewall issue for the test taker. Unfortunately, this problem is out of our control.
However, this problem is usually reported by exam takers using Safari as their browser.
If you submit an exam and receive a blank page, you need to retake the exam (I suggest using a different browser: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer). This way you have proof you completed the course, and I will have the proof of you completing the courses for my records.
If changing browsers does not solve your problem, please contact me at ivy@advancedmassagetechniques.com or (319) 560-4143.
