Most of you know and see everyday how massage therapy and touch benefits the lives of others. Through research projects, we can prove the benefits by showing measurable results. These results help us further validate the massage profession as necessary and highly effective form of health care. Research results help pave the way for insurance reimbursement, more referrals, and respect for the massage therapy field.
Community Service Program Grants
Community Service Grants are made available to help under-served populations and those who can not afford massage therapy who are in need of touch and massage therapy. The foundation provides grants to practitioners and organizations to help provide people access to benefits of massage therapy.

Smile Train
There are millions of children who are suffering with unrepaired cleft lip and palate in developing countries. This common birth defect makes it difficult for the children eat or speak properly. In some cultures, these children are not allowed to attend school or hold a job. This is unfortunate since a cleft repair surgery costs as little as $250, and takes roughly 45 minutes.
The Smile Train’s mission is focused on solving a single problem: cleft lip and palate. Their charity provides free cleft surgery for millions of poverty stricken children. Smile Train also provides free cleft-related training and education for doctors and medical professionals in these developing countries. This training enables in-country doctors to provide surgery for children affected by cleft lip and palate for years to come.
Advanced Massage Techniques is proud to help you support this charity dedicated to helping less fortunate children around the world with life changing support and care. Our youngest daughter, Annika, came to us through the miracle of adoption (via China) with a cleft lip and palate. We have seen first hand what a difference this charity makes in the lives of children.
