I recently read Kisses from Katie: A Story of Relentless Love and Redemption, which was one of the best books I have ever read. It about an American girl, Katie Davis, and her amazing life and story in Uganda. She moved there before she was twenty, set up a charity (Amazima) to educate children, and help women support their families through the making of these beautiful necklaces. Oh, and she adopted thirteen young girls.
While learning more about Uganda, I naturally looked up “massage in Uganda”. While most of the early entries were unflattering and not about therapeutic massage, I stumbled upon a Canadian Charity: African Touch. This charity formally trained a group of Ugandans to become massage professionals. Here is their video.
