Florida requires all 29,000+ licensed massage therapists to take these four classes according to the Chapters 480, 456 of the Florida Statutes and Rule Chapter 64B7 of the Florida Administrative Code.

Because laws governing the practice of massage therapy vary from state to state, the Florida Board of Massage Therapy requires this class to ensure each professional review the scope of practice within the state. What are the current laws are concerning training, licensing, colonic hydrotherapy, reiki, reflexology, continuing education, renewals, and massage establishments in Florida? We will cover how to obtain and maintain your massage therapy license in Florida.

HIV / AIDS for Massage and Bodywork Professionals (1 CE Hour)
Educating health care providers, specifically massage therapists about current theories, treatments, and review universal precautions concerning HIV and massage therapy. Massage therapy is very safe for people who are HIV positive and for the massage professional. As health care professionals, our job is also to educate the public about misconceptions, benefits and contraindications of massage and touch for those livening with HIV / AIDS.

Boundaries in Massage and Bodywork (2 CE Hours, NCBTMB Standard V Ethics)
The relationship a massage therapist has with their client is unlike any other. The extremely personal nature of massage therapy requires massage therapists to have an excellent commitment to ethics in order to preserve the therapeutic relationship.
